Visión remota / Remote viewing

     Allá por el 2008, hice dos cursos, de cinco días cada uno, de la técnica binaural, creada por Robert Monroe, que se llama Hemi-Sync. En uno de sus ejercicios, debíamos entrar en meditación y la maestra nos daba unas coordenadas. Por supuesto, no sabíamos qué había allí; el objetivo era visualizar precisamente esto. Después del ejercicio, Carol Sabick (así se llamaba la maestra), nos preguntó qué habíamos visto. Yo le dije que el Arco de Triunfo de París.

    Finalmente, Carol nos enseñó qué hay, realmente, en esas coordenadas: el Arco Gateway, en St. Louis, Estados Unidos.

    Mi decepción fue enorme (la trabajé MUCHO durante estos cursos) y expresé, en voz alta, mi fallo garrafal. "¿Conocías el arco de San Luis?", me preguntó Carol. "No, no lo había visto nunca", le contesté. "Entonces", continuó ella, "no has fallado. Tu cerebro, al no conocer ese arco, debía asociarlo a algo que sí conocías. Porque, el de París sí lo conocías, ¿no?". Yo asentí. "Pues ahí lo tienes".

    16 años después, aún dudo de que lo que me dijo aquella buena mujer...

     Back in 2008, I did two five-day courses on the binaural technique created by Robert Monroe, called Hemi-Sync. In one of the exercises, we had to go into meditation and the teacher gave us some coordinates. Of course, we didn't know what was there; the aim was to visualise precisely this. After the exercise, Carol Sabick (that was the teacher's name) asked us what we had seen. I told her the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

    Finally, Carol showed us what is actually at those coordinates: the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, USA.

    My disappointment was enormous (I worked on it a LOT during these courses) and I expressed, out loud, my blunder. "Did you know the St. Louis Arch?", Carol asked me. "No, I had never seen it before," I replied. "Then," she continued, "you haven't failed. Your brain, not knowing that arch, must have associated it with something you did know. Because you did know the one in Paris, didn't you? I nodded. "Well, there you go".

    Sixteen years later, I still doubt that what that good woman said to me...
